DIVORCE ASSIST - Helping You to Become a Winner Again!

Just wondering, if anyone knows where in New York, can a divorcee get some support.
Have moved from Baltimore, and settling down is proving to be pretty hard, in the big city...
Have two kids with me, 7 and 11 y.o. boys. All my family lives in California. My ex husband actually left foran overseas assignment.
What I need is someone to talk to once or twice a week. Knowing, that there's a person I can phone and talk, or pop in and see, and share the daily troubles, would be very comforting.
I'm going to try to find if the Catholic church runs any support groups for divorced people. But, don't hold my hopes too high. Nothing seems to be available in Bronx, that is provided by social services.
It feels truly lonely, although a few million people live in the same place. I bet, some are in the same position-recently divorced, and seeking any support they can get.
How can we find each other?
