Why Divorce Support Is Biased Towards Women?

It seems to me, that divorce support available in America today, is heavily biased towards women. And I'm a women myself, so I can attest that that's an acurate statement. Put simply, separated or divorcing women are treated as the "weaker" gender, and offered much more of a leeway than is extended to men.

This is nowhere more apparent than at the government run social support agencies. Trying to ensure the gender equality, they actually have skewed the balance more to the benefit of the wife, than husband.
It's quite obvious when dealing with the personnel there (mostly females), that men aren't welcomed there. To me, it's rather unjust. There definitely are cases where the husband suffers more than the wife in non-functional marriage, and not because of his faults.

This gender imbalance is much more prominent during the legal proceedings. Divorce lawyers and attorneys are finding it much more challenging to defend the interests of a husband, than his former partner. Also, when the assets are divided, the most precious of them: children, are "customarily" given to the wife.
Society should wake up, and treat both partners equally. It will protect interests of the social justice, and make the divorce less damaging on the personal level to the couple concerned.
