Going through divorce is hard any time of the year. but, it's particularly difficult during the Christmas season. Witnessing families enjoying each other company, children playing and their parents exchanging warm words and showing love, is hard for somebody separated and feeling lonely.
But, it doesn't have to be that way. It's all about finding a company, and spending time with people who understand your situation. In every larger city there are social clubs where like minded people congregate and maintain their relationships. Divorced people, or those who are separated and undergoing divorce, are often shy and withdrawn. This shouldn't though prevent them from finding and sharing the joy of Christmas.
Rather than being lonely and feeling isolated from the world, join others: in your local church, neighborhood clubs, etc. Your divorce counselor should be able to point you out in the right direction. Enjoy Christmas! You're part of of those He came to save!
