Separation before a divorce. That's how we're told it should be, for the good of the society. Put simply, if you're considering to divorce your marriage partner, start from a separation and try to work out the differences.
In reality, iit hardly ever works.
Especially, if there's a lot of animosity and a great deal of publicity surrounding the couple. Just ask Paul McCarthy and Heather Mills...
So, what's the solution for an unhappy marriage?
Both, husband and wife should attempt to see marriage counselor first. Then, follow the advice. It well may be, that the counselor will come up with a solution far more doable than a separation.
Why the divorce lawyers are so expensive, comparing to other kinds of lawyers?
Everybody who has contacted a divorce lawyer or had to use professional services of a divorce attorney, can tell you the their fees are very high. Usually, the lower end of the scale is at $300/hour.
Sure, it takes time and lots of studying to be a good lawyer. But, in conveyancing, criminal law, or other areas, lawyers don't charge that much.
This got me thinking, perhaps there are other important issues that make the divorce lawyers the best paid in the profession.
Consider the level of stress that they work under. Family matters are never easy to deal with, even less so, when angry husband and wife face each other, and childrens' welfare comes into play.
Going through divorce is hard any time of the year. but, it's particularly difficult during the Christmas season. Witnessing families enjoying each other company, children playing and their parents exchanging warm words and showing love, is hard for somebody separated and feeling lonely.
But, it doesn't have to be that way. It's all about finding a company, and spending time with people who understand your situation. In every larger city there are social clubs where like minded people congregate and maintain their relationships. Divorced people, or those who are separated and undergoing divorce, are often shy and withdrawn. This shouldn't though prevent them from finding and sharing the joy of Christmas.
Like any state in the US, Illinois has some very specific requirements and clauses regarding the marriage divorce. In case your marriage is on the rocks and you live in this state, then you are probably considering an Illinois divorce. But the first question is: what are the main grounds for an Illinois divorce?
One of the most popular legal reasons for an Illinois divorce is adultery. Even if this seems like a fair and sufficient reason to end a marriage, the fact is that infidelity is very hard to prove. One can select this ground only if he/she can actually demonstrate it with proofs.
My marriage seems to be definitely on the rocks, and my wife and I decided to separate. She wants as quick a divorce, as possible. She probaly thinks, that getting a half of my money and assets will set her up for a prosperous new life, with another man.
Although I care for her wellbeing (we don't have any children), I'm not prepared to let her get more than her share of assets. She's insisting that I dispose of our two investment homes, although the market here in Atlanta is very bad, at the moment, so that she can get some cash in lieu of the divorce settlement.
